Departing just a bit from my current series on how to effectively use MongoDB from Python, today I wanted to let you, my blog readers, know that as of this past February I left SourceForge to start a new python and mongodb consulting business, Arborian Consulting. Why is this (hopefully) relevant to you? At this past PyCon, I had the opportunity to lead a python and mongodb tutorial and had a great time, but realized that the three hour format is just not enough time. So I'm hoping to start some full- or multi-day training classes, but I need your input to know what and where to offer them.
So with all that said, I would love it -- if you're interested, of course -- if you would sign up for updates about the classes as they progress by clicking the signup link. (Signing up, by the way, entitles you to a 25% discount when I *do* start offering the classes.) When signing up, please list your zip code so I can determine the best location to offer the classes. I live in Atlanta, so I know some venues here, but I'm more than willing to travel if there's enough interest.
Even if the classes listed on the signup form don't interest you and you don't want updates, I'd love to hear in the comments below what kinds of classes/training you would be interested in. Thanks so much, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Just an FYI. Your link to your business site (arborian.com) is flagged as porn according to my employer's web filter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, Mike. And it is truly bizarre that my business site would be flagged as porn; the Arborian site is a Wordpress site (sorry!) with company information as well as some videos of talks I've given which were most certainly *not* in the nude. (*shudder*).
DeleteMike,
DeleteI was just wondering if you had any info about your employer's web filter, etc. so I can make sure Arborian isn't flagged in the future? If so, please email me (rick at arborian.com or rick at pythonisito.com both go to me).
