SQLAlchemy is a high-level database library for Python that provides a way to map Python classes to SQL tables.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;There's a lot of info at &lt;A HREF="http://www.sqlalchemy.org" REL="nofollow"&gt;http://www.sqlalchemy.org&lt;/A&gt;.    Some other packages that provide similar functionality are &lt;A HREF="https://storm.canonical.com/" REL="nofollow"&gt;Storm&lt;/A&gt; , &lt;A HREF="http://www.sqlobject.org/" REL="nofollow"&gt;SQLObject&lt;/A&gt; (both Python), and &lt;A HREF="http://www.hibernate.org/" REL="nofollow"&gt;Hibernate&lt;/A&gt; (Java).
